Felicia Gimza was invited to speak at Sheridan College in Oakville to first and second year decorating students about what it’s like to run a decorating, design, renovation business with her husband, David Gimza of Glen Abbey Contractors. Her advice about how important it is to find good tradespeople and more importantly a good contractor who can manage the tradespeople, client’s budgets, timing expectations and have a great result in the end was well received. She showed before and afters of rooms they have worked on together and stressed the importance of using the 3 F’s when designing a room from scratch. “Focal point”, “Function” and “Form”. Students were invited to speak to the decorators and other speakers after the event which was a great success!
