Weybourne

When my clients originally contacted me to assist them with their living room and dining room, I had a blank canvas to work with. Since they were going to be using this room as more of a sitting room vs a tv. viewing room, I decided to first provide them with a focal point by suggesting they purchase an electric floating (or linear) fireplace. We then surrounded it with grey stone and built in bookcases. The colour was changed from boring beige to Ben Moore’s Revere Pewter and we furnished the room with a new dining room table and contemporary parsons chairs which also worked well with the 4 new club chairs we purchased for the living area. We grounded the room with a chrome and glass table, a round mirror to compliment the table and an area rug. My clients then asked me to accessorize their bookcases and we stuck to a very neutral monochromatic theme with hints of chrome, green from the faux cactii plants and finally with black and white prints of their family. The family of 3 is ecstatic with how the room turned out and enjoy using the room to read quietly or entertain a few friends. The chairs from the dining room can be pulled in for extra seating when their gatherings are larger.
